We understand this is a big responsibility and work hard to protect your information and put you in control.

This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information.

 

FIRPTA Refunds is 100% committed to data protection. We protect the fundamental right to privacy and the protection of personal data. We are fully General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant. GDPR is the EU regulation standard intended to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the EU. We employ this same level of privacy protection for all our clients, worldwide.

What we do to ensure data protection for all our customers:

  • We do not collect personal credit card data. Our merchant services processor is PayPal, which is fully Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliant. As a merchant services provider PayPal accepts and processes all credit card information. No PayPal account is required. PayPal collects all payments of credit cards and are fully GDPR compliant, we never see client payment account information. When clients pay direct deposit or wire, they do this through bank channels, we do not collect any personal banking information, we merely receive a deposit.

  • We do not provide web site login services for clients. On the administration side we ensure our signin and login services are completed through a secure HTTPS/SSL protocol. You may notice we even use this protocol on web page access. When you view our web page URL in the address bar you will note the https://.

  • Clients and site visitors do not access or deposit data on our web site. Therefore there are no Right To Access or Right to Be Forgotten actions needed to be taken. When we send emails such as newsletters and FIRPTA QuickTips, the recipients can elect to be permanently unsubscribed.

  • FIRPTA Refunds employs a fully compliant secure document transfer service. This is a third party secure drop box service that is accessible from our web site for clients and prospects to send us information securely. We employ the outbound system for sending and replying anytime there is personal privacy protected information in the body of documentation. Email is not secure.

  • FIRPTA Refunds does not sell any client, visitor or prospect information. We do not share our marketing leads or clients database with anyone. As a provider of IRS Services, we provide the IRS with client information in the process of making application for Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, Employer Identifican Numbers, tax filings and reporting but all with the prior permission and approval of our clients. We do not share lists with the IRS. We only provide the specifically authorized individual client's information on a case by case basis. We are IRS Certified Acceptance Agents.
